Nokia Patents Vibrating Smart Tattoos - buisuded1998
Our bodies may both day become extensions for smartphones and other devices, if a new Nokia obvious is any indication.
Nokia has proprietary magnetic textile that would aware wearers to in calls, Unwired View reports. Users would wear the stuff connected the surface of the skin or muster in a tattoo artist to implement the ferromagnetic ink directly.
To set up the tattoo, the applicant must first degauss the ink by exposing IT to high temperatures. So, the applier would pass an external magnet over the image material individual times, accretionary its sensitivity toward alternating charismatic fields.
In the ending, you'd fetch a tattoo that could alert you to incoming calls by vibrating. A paired phone, which itself would need the ability to emit magnetic fields, could true send out different types of vibrations for phone calls, text messages or other communications. Presumably, you'd be able to tell the phone not to vibrate your tattoo at night or when you otherwise Don River't want to get twitched.
The construct is creepy, but non entirely early. Designers have been dreaming up embedded technology for years; PCWorld even looked at some examples in a roundup of crazy concept phones. Google's rumored plans for augmented realism glasses are only a a couple of steps abstracted from smart contact lens lenses, which Microsoft is really workings on. It's not too crazy to imagine a future where instead of carrying more or less smartphones, we simply wear the technology on our bodies.
But for now, Nokia's haptic tattoo is just one more intense patent that won't graduate to real mathematical product status any time soon, if ever. At least it's amusing to think about.
